Prior to joining Farrell Advisory, Alex Zawatsky served as a transaction advisory and enterprise value enhancement consultant to numerous public, private, and sponsor-backed entities ranging in size from $10 million to $250 million, and spanning multiple industries (including government contracting, electronics development / manufacturing, pharmaceutical, health care, auto retail, etc.).
Prior to consulting, Alex spent over six years as an investment banker for KippsDeSanto & Co. and White Peak Capital, LLC. Alex primarily focused on sell-side M&A transaction advisory services, but also gained considerable experience in financial modelling and buy-side M&A, as well as ESOP, valuation, recapitalization, and fairness engagements.
Alex began his career as a mechanical engineer for Thales Defense & Security, Inc. (formerly Thales Communications, Inc.) where he was responsible for the mechanical design of various ruggedized military / public safety communications equipment, as well as overseeing and managing projects throughout their life cycle.
Alex graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Maryland, earning a BS in Engineering; Alex also holds an MBA with a concentration in Finance from the University of Maryland’s Smith School of Business, where he graduated #1 in his class.
Alex is also a licensed CPA.
